Sridevi aka Chandni leave us at the age of 54. We will miss you!

Sridevi, who won more than million hearts for over four decades, has passed away yesterday at Dubai. She died of a massive heart attack late night. She had gone to Dubai to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding. While most of the family members returned to India after the wedding, she decided to stay with husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor. Her elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor couldn’t accompany her due to a shooting.

Sridevi’s remarkable history

Sridevi made her debut in Bollywood with Solva Sawan in 1978. But, she was recognized in Himmatwala with actor Jeetendra. For over four decades, she ruled the Bollywood industry. She acted in about 100 films. Her versatility, her beauty, her eyes and her scintillating acting performances made every fall in love with her.

Sridevi gave numerous embarking movies like Mr. India, Puli, English Vinglish and Chandni among the others. She was last seen in Mom – a revenge thriller movie. She has shot a special appearance in Shahrukh Khan’s movie Zero which will be now her last one.

 

Sridevi gave us evergreen songs like Hawa Hawai and Kate Nahin Katte. She also wowed the audience with her excellent comic timing.

 

At first, many believe the news as a hoax. But Sanjay Kapoor, brother-in-law of Sridevi, confirmed the news of her passing away. The news of her demise has sent shock waves to entire Bollywood Industry. Condolences started pouring right after the confirmation of the news. Not only the Bollywood actors but also her million fans are shattered by her demise.

Bollywood industry has today lost one of its gems in the field of acting. She was only 54. It was too soon for her to leave the world.

May her soul rest in peace. Sridevi, you will be missed badly.
