A new metro link in New Delhi, Pink Line is all set to open tomorrow on March 14. It will be connecting north and south of New Delhi. A boon to the residents of Delhi, especially the students of DU as this will be connecting the north and south campus of DU.

Pink Line is a new metro link which will be operating with a stretch between Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar covering a distance of 59 km. For now, Pink Line will be operating between South campus and Majlis Park within a distance of 21.5 kilometers. The time taken from the North campus to the South campus will be reduced by 35 minutes. They will have to change their train just once at Azadpur station.
Pink Line is going to be operational likely from tomorrow evening by 6 o’clock. There will be 12 stations where 19 metro trains will be running. For now, there will be 8 elevated stations including South campus, Mayapuri and Majlis Park, four interchange stations including Dhaula Kuan, Rajauri Garden and Netaji Subhash Place and four underground stations including Shalimar Bagh and Narayana Vihar. The complete link is expecting to operational from June 2018.

The Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar corridor, also known as Pink Line, will amaze its commuters by not just its benefits but also few other facts. Pink line metro has Travelators which is interduce first time in the metro. There is the highest 23.6m point near Dhaula Kuan (equivalent to a 7-storey building) and the deepest 26m point near Narayana Vihar. Each station will be having four platforms. Each station will be having platform screen doors as well.
